Wow, this is the first year I've earned every single Web Search badge!
Almost none of the Exploration badges, true, and less than half of the Contributor's Trophies, but still, this is a bit of an accomplishment for me. :-)

This was a fantastic summer reading program. So much better than last year's. Loved the prizes such as the coffee, chocolate, umbrellas, etc. I also honed my web search skills and became addicted to Download of the Day. I can't wait for next year's program.

Dang it! Double dang it! I kept checking for the tea and coffe to be restocked and it wasn't, then I saw the post that someone got tea and went to go get it and in the time I looked not long ago and it wasn't stock to looking now, they're both sold out! AND I just realized I can't go to the end of summer gala because it's my son schools open house that night. He's starting elementary school and he'll get to meet his teacher and some new friends that night. So... Once I get the three web search badges that I need to do, I'm done for this year. Thanks AADL for another great summer game and Friends of AADL for all the great prizes!

I'm so glad I tried the tea, it is fabulous and now I'm making jun (from the fermentation program last week) with it. I used to think kombucha was soooo weird, but the green tea & honey equivalent is delicious.

I love the blog comments introducing the badges almost as much as I love the badges themselves. This time, I almost thought the words "aplomb, panache, and elan" were codes since the post contained this line, "finish your Summer Game with APLOMB, PANACHE, and ELAN!" I think I'm just a little too code-happy.

One great thing about the summer game is that the web search badges introduced me to books, movies, and more that I hadn't known before I played. I discovered new series, featuring Temeraire and Thursday Next.

Actually, this summer game has been leading me towards musicals and classic Hitchcock movies. My to-read list is already crazy long.

I'm bummed about missing the gala wrap-up party. Need to finish all the books I have going before the end of the month now!

Is it too late to earn the Briar Rows explorer badge? That is the only one of that series that I am missing but when I click on the hints it says to find the codes between June something and August 21st. Does anyone know if the codes are gone now?

The signs at Briarwood were planned to come down August 21st. We have scattered reports that some may still be up but they definitely are not all there anymore. Just contactus if you're missing one and we can help.

I am really starting to dislike Alfred Hitchcock.
The Murder Most Fowl clue 4 is very frustrating.

I saw a bus on Saturday in Ypsilanti with the code, and today right by the U of M hospital. I hadn't seen the codes for weeks!

Went to the Leslie science and nature center today to gaze at the pond, and we wish we could get points per mosquito bite. :) the instructions on the badge seem like they were wrong ; we had to back track from the end of the badge after wandering around the wrong part. Walk carefully, explorers.

Thomas: I think you have to get the right derogatory term and then you'll find it. I have to agree with you, especially after reading why Hitchcock liked blondes.

I have checked out my kids' chest sizes, and I think the men's and kids' shirts should be compared to a currently fitting shirt, measured off the body, around the chest -- in other words, on one side. The women's seems to be the measurement all the way around at the bust level. (The women's measurements are about twice the men's measurements.)

2 badges and less than 3 days to complete them... they're both Hitchcock badges, which I've found to be the most difficult series this year.

@eli - Thank you for creating the tshirt size guide, and providing the material information!

Thanks also to you or other relevant staff for adding details about the caffeine content of the tea and those helpful links.

It's a shame the tea and coffee sold out so quickly, leaving players who couldn't get any if they weren't able to log in very quickly after it stocked.

The tea did introduce me to Sweetwaters, so I know where to get more! I was lucky enough to get 2 containers of it at once, and gave one as a gift to a family member (the other is MINE, ALL MINE!) - and now I am thinking it would be great for winter gifts, not that you can't make iced tea... I think I might try making a little batch from some of my hoard. It's wonderfully delicate yet aromatic, so it should be good in iced tea form.

You can also post comments on events, the Download of the Day entries, (and the separate Lowdown Of The Day section posts), and podcasts and videos available for download. And you can go back to previous badge drop or other Summer Game entries, and make remarks about those as well.

I found I got the commenter badges quickly. I think because I've had crazy laryngitis this summer and haven't been able to talk much, so I've been releasing my chattiness in various places online - especially on here, since it's where I've spent so much time in the last couple months.

I appreciate you not wanting to spam. :)

and DONE! Just completed my last badge... and the bonus clue that went with it. I was a little stumped on that bonus clue, until I clicked on the picture and took a closer look at it and discovered there's a website that I've used a lot (and mentioned before) for the Hitchcock clues that would give me the answer.

I've gotten all the badges I'm going to get for this summer, all that's left is tomorrow's reading points and to pick up some items that are on hold for me at the library.

Thanks AADL, Friends of AADL, and all the gamers who help with additional clues! I won't be at the gala tomorrow night, so until next summer... th-th-that's all folks!

Thank you to all the summer game staff for another great year. I have a couple of great themes for 2017 for badge themes.
1) I would love to see a steampunk block of badges because I know besides me there are a few gamer's out there who also love steampunk.

2) I would also love to do a summer long fairy door scavenger hunt around A2 searching for fairy doors. I know of some but there are more and more popping up and I think it would be great to use the names of the business as the game codes for the badges.

I volunteered for the WEST reopening (and will be happy to help evenings and weekends for other AADL reasons).
Unfortunately i couldn't change my schedule to help pack up Summer Game orders this week.
Next year, please let us know when you will need help a bit earlier and we can plan to help!

Has anyone tried submitting any of the bonus codes from the Summer Game Gala? My first three attempts render an expired code from 2013 and "code not recognized". Wonder if they are set to turn on after the Gala.

Thank you for another fabulous Summer Game! As always, we especially appreciated the badges that got us out exploring our community. We managed to complete the Arbor Explorer badge set with a whole day to spare, instead of searching a park at dusk on the last day like last year!

Had a stab of procrastinator's anxiety this evening. I had FINALLY made it to the car park for Sight Lines - after first going to the wrong car park [both on foot, no fees paid in pursuit of this badge]. But the game site was glitching when I tried to enter the code so I decided to wait until I got home. AND THEN IT WASN'T RECOGNIZED!! Oh noes, how would I earn the coveted Line Master badge?? I did manage to figure it out by swapping the two 'words' that make up the code, and relief calmed the dismay.

Thanks AADL folks for another fun summer of chasing down badges!

@willow - it was so fun to meet you last night!! I was able to finish my fowl/bird badge last night :-) Turns out that specific record had been 'made invisible' in the last weekish! No wonder I couldn't find it!!! They were able to give me the code and then I found the final 2 codes for the badge :-) Hooray!!!

I loved the summer game party last night. Such fun to be surrounded by all of the other wonderful players! I suggest optional nametags for next year's party. The cookies were amazing. I LOVED all of the activities in the secret lab. The 3D printers are INCREDIBLE!! I LOVE the AADL!!!

Last year many people had name tags with their friend codes, so a lot of people ran around looking at name tags to get codes.

I'd like to see a real summer game badge that we could get and personalize so when we go out to play, we can wear our badge that couldl have our name as we're known in the comments, our leaderboard name and friend code.

Sorry I missed the gala. Fortunately it didn't hurt my standing to much, only went down by one player.
