Tweens of Crime

Difficulty: ????
Part of the SummerGame2015 Game

Last week we talked about the Queens of Crime, and for this week, TWEENS OF CRIME! That's right, there's an awesome fiction tradition of scrappy youngsters solving crimes. One of the best-known of these meddling minors is Nancy Drew. She first appeared in 1930 and has stuck around in various iterations ever since, and author Carolyn Keene gets credit for it all! One thing though, Carolyn Keene isn't real. It was a pseudonym used by a whole stable of ghost writers. One of the authors who wrote as Carolyn Keene ended up writing a very successful mystery series of her own, but instead of featuring a spunky teen, it features an baleful herbalist who is always out-"wittig" the bad guys, and isn't as fragile as her name implies. Track down this author-formerly-known-as-Carolyn-Keene and find the code in book about her plucky problem-solver.
