Yes, Rose, we'll have some new prizes! Soon to be revealed! By the way, just remember that each *thread* a player comments on gets them points, not necessarily each comment.

But of course, I understand your excitement -- just don't want the spam filter to get over-zealous! : )

I have to hand it to you- you get me every time. As soon as I use some points you come up with something better that I should have saved my points for.... waiting this time....

To all you gamers out there I am working on the Screen Teens badge and I am having great difficulty finding the fourth code word. I think I know the answer because I grew up watching these films mentioned but when I go type in one of the two answers I get nowhere. So I am hoping one or more of you gamers out there can give me another clue to help me out.
Thanks so much,
lmd3577

@Lmd3577 , I found a wikipedia page which included a chart of which films the individual referenced wrote, directed, and/or produced. It was very helpful, along with a careful reading of the clue.

@cherylo, thank you for that clue. I grew up watching watching movies both written and directed by this man and it was not until you gave me this last clue that I found the answer I completly forgot he wrote this movie. Once again thanks for the clue

I am stumped stumped stumped on the third Angry Birds code, even with the hint. I am pretty sure I've got the name of the Angry Birds edition that is stellar -- though the clue doesn't sound like that is actually a part of the answer. Where I'm really stumped is on the special camp that is out of this world. Advice would be appreciated!

Hi @valeriemates~!

There's more than one (inter-)stellar form of Angry Birds, actually. Look up a list of the varieties, and it will make more sense. That's what I had to do.

I can't open the second "Nana" badge hint. Is anyone else having this problem?

dekeyzerm -- To earn badges, go to http://play.aadl.org/badgelist . Hover your mouse over a badge for more info, or click on it for the first clue. Usually the clues will direct you to find particular items in the library's catalog. Sometimes you need to use Google or Wikipedia to find the information you need. When you find the right item in the catalog, you will see a code in capital letters near the end of the left-hand column. Click on it to submit it and get the next clue. When you solve all the clues for a badge, you earn that badge on your page, and some points.

Hope that helps....

I really enjoyed the Furstenberg park badge, and hope to do the Arboretum one soon. I hope there will be lots more of these. I've finished all the other badges in this drop, including all the tagging badges, which was kind of a grind.

I'm a little scared of some of the upcoming badges, if they follow the pattern of last year. A badge for posting to 1000 different blog threads? It may be possible, but I can't see how it could be done without making lots of pointless posts to things like blog posts describing events that have already happened. I suppose you could just say "Cool" to everything, and be reasonably accurate, but I kind of like to cherish the illusion that I'm adding value while earning points.

@Jan, you have more stamina than I do for the contributor badges. I don't expect to get the full complement for tagging or commenting, and that's okay by me. I do make a point to do the rating series completely each year, and like to make it to at least 50 reviews, but I refuse to write reviews for items about which I don't really have something to say.

Thanks for the new badges. I enjoy the creativity in all the badges. Looking forward to new items in the shop, and perhaps some of the prize packages?

Does anyone have any hints on the first clue of the Woolman vs. Weevils badge? I've tried what was suggested and still not finding a code...not sure what I'm missing here. :/

Thanks, Zekicmom....I tried that, and I only come up with four results. None of them have the code. I thought I was spelling the name wrong, but I copied and pasted, and it still only came up with those four. :/

I'm stuck on the last code for the "Fly There" badge. I'm pretty sure I have the airline name, and it does divide into two words - something about rocks - but when I search the two words, I get waaay too many results. Do I have the wrong name? Is there someway to narrow it down? Please help!!!

To all you summer gamers out there,
I am starting on the Legen-Dairy badge. I have wikie up a couple articles that could give me the answer for the first codeword but I am still having great trouble finding the answer. I am hoping someone could give me a another clue on where to look for the clue word because I think I am getting closer but I think I am a world so to speak apart.
Thanks so much for the help

@lmd3577 - The name you're looking for is actually right there in the clue. If it weren't a proper name it would be a good Scrabble play for those annoying situations where you have no consonants...

Look carefully on the image that comes up when you get to the aadl Facebook page. It's not labeled as a code, but there are two words that are the code. I'm not good at giving hints without giving too much away, so I hope this helps.....

I think I may have found a typo in the fourth code for the <strong> A New Constellation </strong> badge. Shouldn't the thing say "But many, when they think of QANTAS they think of a <strong>1998 </strong> film featuring the leading men of Top Gun and Tootsie" instead of 1988, which is what is says now?

@jsulimin,

1) The badge you are speaking about was not part of this badge drop; try posting on the one that includes the badge you want to discuss/ask for help with.
2) The year 1988 is correct for the item that badge clue refers to.

good

I did the arb badge and it was fun but if you have younger kids or cant do lots of walking up and down hills I suggest you keep that in mind as we didn't know that and went with my grandma and friend who both have asthma and had a baby in a stroller and it made it a little difficult

No bikes allowed on the path at Furstenburg. I don't think in the arb either, and also part of the arb route is on a staircase, so it's problematic for mobility-challenged players unless they have a more mobile partner. For West, the codes are in a smaller area than for either of the other two, so I don't think a bike is needed but I think it is allowed there.

I am stuck on:

1. The last code for the "Shirley is Orphaned... Again" badge
2. The last code for the "Angry Birds Everywhere" badge
3. The fourth code for the "Dust in the Wind" badge

Thanks for your help, and sorry for asking for help over and over!

Edit: I just found the Angry birds code, actually. :-)

@yaldah

1) For the "Shirley is Orphaned... Again" badge, use IMDB or Wikipedia to figure out which movie Shirley acted in instead. There is a term in that title that refers to a special group of forces in Canada. If you search just for that term - you should come up with the code. Don't worry about trying to figure out the full name of the group - just use the term in the movie title.

2) For the "Dust in the Wind" badge, look at the Wikipedia article on "Mars 2". The answer is in that article though perhaps not easily seen. After you find the mode of transport, simply think about where that item would normally be used (the planet name, nothing more specific) and search the mode of transport & the planet name together.

@vlong: I found the "Dust in the Wind" code - thanks! But for the Shirley Temple badge, the only movie I can figure out from that year is A Little Princess, and that can't be what I want. How can I find the correct movie?

@yaldah - Sorry, I was offline most of the weekend. If you look at IMDB.com for Shirley Temple and look at the list of movies she's done, there are *2* listed as 1939. You want the one that's NOT "The Little Princess". :)

Hope that helps you. :)

Be sure to visit the fairy village at the Arb- our kids played there for almost an hour!

We finished the Arb badge at dusk this evening (squeaking our last park quest in at the end of the last day!) Wow, that one was a hike! My husband did the stairs with a 30 lb. kid on his shoulders! It was a fun quest, and it makes me want to go back and do more exploring in the Arb when daylight isn't fading! My kids are eager to go back with sleds in the winter!
