Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble opening the third hint for Mrs. Norris?

could the series each badge is part of be included with the badge info? also the notation of (SummerGame2013) in the catalog records is a little clumsy maybe just having the year (2013) might be just as effective?

could someone help me with the third code for the gromit badge? I believe the author should be the famous Greek philosopher whose name sounds similar to "pluto", but I don't know the title of the book

I am working on both the Downton Abbey badge and Llama badge and I was wondering if someone could help me find the third clue word to the llama badge and the first codeword to the Downton Abbey badge.
Thanks so much for the help

if you go to 'My Players' and go to the 'Summer Game 2013' section, there'll be a link saying "See all Summer Game 2013 badges' or something like that. Usually most of the new badges on fridays appear there about few hours before the official badge drop!

I am working on the Mrs Norris badge and I need some help finding the third codeword and I am hoping someone could give me a clue on where to find it.
Thanks so much

I am now also working on the Gromit badge and I am having trouble finding the second codeword could someone please help me find it.
Thanks so much,

Aren't the chat threads supposed to be the place for requesting help with clues? Or did I get it backwards? (chat for other stuff, badge drop entry for clues)

The chat thread is supposed to be for chatting only not for asking for help on badge drop questions. The badge drop thread is supposed to be for questions to get help on clue words and not for chatting.

Where and what time is the aadl at Top-of-the-Park for the Ingalls Quest? I went last Sunday but didn't see it. Can I get the clues online? Today is the last day. Help!

I am working on several badges and I need help finding several of the code words for them and I am hoping someone out there could give me clues on where to find the code words.

1.) I need to find the final codeword for the Sputnik badge
2.) I need to find the second codeword for the Gromit badge
3.) I need to find the third codeword for the Mrs Norris badge
4.)I need to find the first codeword for the Pappy airboat badge
5.) I need to find the fourth codeword for the llama badge

Thanks so much for the help

@lmd3577

1.) For the planet, look at Holst's suite. There's only one planet that he doesn't include (that's still a planet). For the second part, think about bad things that can happen to your teeth. This can also happen cadavers. There's only one result, so it should be rather easy.
2.) What kind of animal is Gromit? Search that and knitting and it will be in the results. There are less than 10 results, so it shouldn't be too much trouble to go through all of them.
3.) I had trouble on this one, too. The trick is not to check for her eye color on the Harry Potter wiki or in the books. Look at her eyes in the badge picture. Then search that color with eyes in the singular form ( e.g.: _______ eye) and then look for DVDs.
4.) Try googling early ocean airways. Now, if you know your Lost, you know that it's not the first result. But try the second one. Then just find out who the founder is, and search his name in the catalog.
5.) The code you're looking for is in a specific children's book in a series of books with similar titles. If you know what article of clothing your looking for, it should be rather easy. Try searching llama with that article of clothing. You'll get that annoying "No results found for ALL of your search terms." thing. But books in the series still come up! Go from there, and you'll find the code.

Hope this helps!

@alumeng.ajl

Thanks for the hint about the cat's eye color. I didn't even think about eye color. I was thinking just cat eye/eyes. So thanks. :)

I found it kind of "funny" that the Mrs. Norris badge is rated "beginner" because it's the badge I've had the hardest time with! Heh.

What???!!!?! The items from the first and fifth Gromit clues have two codes in them! What are the other ones from?

I must say I was very excited about a llama badge. They're one of my favorite animals. :) :)

I need help with:

1. The third "Llamarama" code.
2. The fourth and last "Pink Panther" code.
3. The seventh and last "Gromit "Go-Getter" code.
4. The fourth and last "Harajuku Girls" code.
5. The third "Don't Gaslight Me" code.
6. The fourth and last "Downton Badge-y" code.

If anyone has any hints for me, please post them. (Sorry I keep pestering everyone with my "help!!!" comments. :D)

@sarahcweiss
1 - DeNiro probably doesn't like them but two-thirds of his friend Al would.
2 - It's not the actor you're thinking of, try looking for the awful remake
3 - If you're looking on Wikipedia you won;t find this - it mentions one actor but you need to look for his more famous contemparary - CC this message to someone and you might find it
4 - Farm animals, cats, dogs and buderigars .

@sarahcweiss

5) You know how Ann Arbor is called A2 or A Square? This DVD is a real "square" too.

6) Check IMDB for the actress' name and then search it in DVD's, keeping in mind the hint about the Bard.

I found the gaslight code - thanks for the clues, Pumpkinscones and Messa! - but I'm still stuck on the others. Sorry if I'm being kind of slow to not be able to figure them out. :-)

I am wondering if anybody could help me find several clue words I need to find.

1.) the final codeword for the Mrs Norris badge
2.)the first codeword for the Vanguard Satlight badge
3.) the fourth codeword for the Grommit badge
4.) the third codeword for the pappy badge
5.) the first for The Line badge
Thanks so much for the help

Is there a way to list/sort the "I've watched read..." list from the rest of the summer game points? It would be nice to be able to search/skim all the books I've read this summer. (Also, I'm not sure which books I've added and it's tedious to backtrack through each and every time I've earned points to find books.)

sara: so far, no. you can see how many points you have from "I've watched, read". But there's nothing that lets you sort/list them separately. you can always contact the staff and ask if they can make that possible...

I am working on several badges and I need some help finding some code words for them.

1.) I am looking for the final codeword in the Mrs. Norris badge
2.) I need help finding the fourth codeword in the Grommit badge
3.) I need help finding the first codeword in the The Line badge
4.) and I need help finding the third codeword in the Pappy airways badge

@Lmd3577 maybe if you ask some questions about what you are having trouble about? I would have to do research to even understand what you need in such a context-free statement, so it might help if you framed the questions.

Hi Lmd3577,
AADL staff here :> What's really helpful when requesting assistance with badges is to let everyone know what you have searched for or tried already. An internet search is required for most badges to gather information to use to search the AADL catalog. Let us know what type of search you have done - wikipedia, imdb etc. and what AADL catalog searches you have done using the filter/refining tools on the right-hand side of the screen. Then we can give you some clues and tips on what to try next. Thanks for playing the game!

I normally do say I am having a great time finding the codes and I have searched everywhere but for the past few times I have asked I have been thrown off by fireworks going off outside my house and I loose all train of thought. I am going to reword my question so I can get the right answers to my questions.
Thanks so much

To all you summer gamers out there I have been having the greatest time finding some code words for several badges and I have googled wikied and IMDB to find the answers and I still am stuck so I hope you can give me a clue or two to help me find the code words I need.

1.) I am having trouble finding the first codeword for The Line badge.
2.) I am having trouble finding the final codeword for the Mrs.Norris badge
3.) I am having trouble finding the fourth codeword for the Grommet badge
4.) And finally I am having trouble finding the third codeword for the Pappy airlines badge.

Thanks so much for the help

1 - (bubblyNestlechocolatebar)(traditionallydisgruntled................worker)(e) - failing that google shops in Briarwood: there's a list and find the french sounding aviationy one.
2 (HomoSapien)(farmer'sworkplace) (stopandgetoutofyourcar)
3 AS you creep pace-by-pace, foot-by-foot towards your goal, remember hyphens are important. Also the more scientific form of cooking.
4. The island has had two names - type them into the search together. One will make you feel like a swine. The other shares a name with a city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. OH WON"T YOU PLEASE TAKE ME HOOOOOME

cool!

4th badge is mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:):)

YAY

yayyay

you have animate and inanimate objects. organic and inorganic. capable of reason and reliant on instinct. any other opposite categories to suggest for badges?

@Bookbird: I agree! I can only use the computer for up to one and a half hours a day, unless I'm at the library, in which case I get extra time on those computers. So I can't do as much Summer Gaming as some lucky people. :-(

I am only so high on the leader board because I have wonderful friends who help me with the codes....
And because there are lots of manga and series books out there for me to add to lists...
But mainly because of my friends.
A big thank you to everyone!

I think math is better than writing, and it's good that there are shorthand in it and exact answers most of the time, but I don't really like it because it cuts into my reading/anime time.

I'm not Asian either, but I also think math is fun. Math is in pretty much everything and you use it everyday. As the character says at the beginning of the show "Numb3rs", "We all use math every day. To predict weather…to tell time…to handle money. Math is more than formulas and equations. It’s logic; it’s rationality. It’s using your mind to solve the biggest mysteries we know." I like some types of math more than others of course, but figuring out math puzzles and stuff like that, I really enjoy. :) I've also enjoyed reading books about things like Fibonacci numbers which show up in places you don't realize and the "Garden of Cosmic Speculation" where the designer used principles from math and science to design the features.

Do logic puzzles count as math? I could say I like math if logic puzzles count. I dont hate math, i just dislike geometry proofs and problems with more than one answer. Really, math is amazing in how much it changes the world. For example, Summer Game wouldn't exist if there weren't any math around, right?

@Bookbird - Well, there's a magazine called "Math & Logic Problems" and sometimes you need a lot of math for a particular puzzle, so I'd say yes. :) I've been doing a LOT of logic puzzles this summer - that's part of the reason I'm behind on my badges. Some nights after work I end up never touching my laptop, I just read and/or do logic puzzles. I've been challenging myself with doing some of the harder ones in the back of the magazines I have. The biggest one I did this year had 6 categories w/ 12 variables in each one (it was dealing with months of the year - hence why 12 variables). That one took me probably a week or better to finally get it right but it was fun (at least to me). :)

I would like to try that big one.... Sounds exciting.
I'm behind on badges and points because I tend to get distracted by my goal of watching case closed episodes, and other anime. It's mainly anime with me this summer....
And going through the catalog on mobile (really, my chances of playing sg are nearly always on moblie) is kinda hard when every time I go back a page it shifts back to the top of the catalog...

I still can't find the last code for the "Gromit Go-Getter " badge. Is he a real buster of an actor? If I have the right name, why can't I find the code? If not, does anyone have clues to finding the correct actor? Thanks!

P. S. I really enjoy math, crazy though some people think me for it! :-)
