Streets Quest #10: A Quest to End All Quests!
by andrewjmac
So, here we are, another month, another Quest. But wait! NOT just another Quest! YOUR FINAL QUEST! Because now we are June, and June means an end to Quests and the beginning of a bright and shining new Summer Game! Summer Game 2013 starts June 14 and promises to have all the great ways to earn points and badges as last year. We know we can count on our dedicated Questers to be there! But for now, you have work to do:
Now you visit your favorite stall numbers
For apples or beets or cucumbers.
But before the market stood,
You could just knock on wood:
Who'd you visit to pick up some lumber?

Huh? Apparently this was put up in the future, 'cause it's quarter to eight on 31 May, and the post says "Submitted by andrewjmac on Sat, 06/01/13 - 5:34am". Or, it might be a joke and a throwback to the theme of the first Treasure Quest(Time Bandits).
I don't think the aadl people
I don't think the aadl people have discovered time travel yet, so it must be a joke....
Went downtown for the sign
Went downtown for the sign clue for GG. Found said sign. Tried every possible combo of words on sign from clue, nothing works. Is the game broken?
In spite of good clues given
In spite of good clues given earlier I am stuck on GG8, GG9, and GG10. For GG10#3, I have tried all the combo of words/numbers on the 15 min parking sign but nothing works. Any hints on what I need to enter? For GG8#2, I figured it wasn't the old aa observer building. Is it the odd shaped building opposite the Zingerman's? I can't get any name on it work as the code. For GG#9, neither the wine spectator or the historic preservation works? what other website is there? I just want to complete all the GGs. This is so frustrating :/
GG8#2: Look again at the old
GG8#2: Look again at the old Observer building.
GG9: I’m stuck on this one as well.
GG10#3: There are actually a slew of different 15 minute parking signs scattered all around that area. You want the one closest to the Street Exhibit. You are looking for a five word clue.
GG #9 - For clue 3 - In the
GG #9 - For clue 3 - In the clue itself it talks about the Earle. You have to go downtown for this one and look around the entryway. The last GG#9 clue - while you are there - find the corner in the clue... its a stone's throw away.
I don't have anything to add
I don't have anything to add to what @echternk said; good cluing. Bravo.
Thanks cherylo, I'm done now
Thanks cherylo, I'm done now with streets quests and ready for the regular summer game now. Thanks, SarahRose, very helpful clue on GG10...and the real sign was more interesting to me. :-)
sigh... better take down
sigh... better take down notes on the hints... Still haven't had a chance to go downtown yet.
Hey, you streets questers who
Hey, you streets questers who finished every quest - are there "extra, hidden" points beyond the 10 published quests? One player has more SQ points than the 4 who I thought finished all 10. Did we miss something???
I think that was because they
I think that was because they found some problem? I believe eli said something about it on one of the earlier posts

This is Streets Quest. There
This is Streets Quest. There are three parts. Two of the badges you earn by searching online and on Old News (which is accessible via the aadl.org page's Research-Local History-Old News. Or you can follow the links on the earlier Streets Quest posts). The Glass Glazing badge requires actual travel to Downtown Ann Arbor, where you search for the name or whatever is on a sign that the badge requires. If you have any other questions, please post HERE ONLY, ask the staff in "Contact Us", or refer to the earliest posts.

I went to the state movie theater but couldn't find anything that could be a code. There was the now showing upstairs neon, but that wasn't it...
Yeah, Street Quest is hard.
Yeah, Street Quest is hard.
I'm confused about how
I'm confused about how Streets Quest works within the Summer Game. I have 3,000 SQ points and 2 badges, but the points aren't reflected in the Summer Game total. Please explain? Is it just for fun?
I could be wrong and maybe
I could be wrong and maybe something will change, but it seems that Street Quest badges and points are just for bragging rights, not prizes.
The streets quest and the
The streets quest and the treasure hunt are just for bragging rights on the all time leaderboard. Last year you could do treasure hunt and get secret shop tokens to use in a separate shop, but there's only the SG points shop this year2013
