So, is anyone working on the new badges yet? I'm having a hard time with the 6th code on the "strip search" badge. I found the artist in question through Wikipedia, but I can't find the code in any item that comes up when using his name as a keyword search OR using the title they give him as a keyword search. I know I have the right name because I tried the hint and the hint led me to the same artist.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey guys, sorry about the glitches with the tool tote and the Sloe Gin Fizz print! We've stocked the tool tote properly, but because so many of you were waiting to pounce and spent your evenings waiting for the print to suddenly turn on, we will save the print for the next (and final) secret shop so you can all have another fair crack at it. Word has it there may be close to 40 items in the secret shop next week.... wonder what that will be like!

I'm wondering what the dimensions of the red Tote of All Trades are, specifically how big are the outside pockets, and what looks like a central pocket? (Will they fit the 12x12-when-folded Ticket To Ride boards? Will they fit Empire Builder/Eurorail puzzle boards?) Hobby people want to know!

Whoever cooked up the placement for the last, hardest branch code at Traverwood is a mad genius! That made my morning; I was laughing all the way to the next location.
Any hints for the Branch codes? I thought I had all of them until the badges came out.
At first, I thought the dual power master set was cool, until I read what it does.
@mengland , I think you just have to go get them pretty much. I had1-4 codes I had missed or that were recently added at each branch except West until I went and hunted them all down earlier today. There was one at Traverwood I would never have gotten without a little help from the desk staff. Ask for help when you have looked around and tried, though...just marching to the desk and demanding to know the codes is not so cool. The desk staff at Downtown didn't always know how to help, but I did eventually find the one I was missing there. Persistence helps.
Yes, there is one Traverwood code that is super well hidden.
I would never demand the codes that's no fun. I have two young kids who love the surprise in finding the codes but not the patience. Guess I know what I'm doing Monday.
@cherylo - You play Empire Builder? :) :) I've had such a hard time finding people who want to play those particular games around here. My best friend, who lives in Buffalo, taught me how to play, but I haven't been able to get any of my friends here interested in them. My brother and sister-in-law will play with me occasionally, but our schedules rarely mesh. I own 6 of the Empire Builder series, though not Empire Builder itself.
I'm hoping the tote will fit all my water gardening tools and solutions (e.g. pH down, anti-algae stuff, liquid plant food, etc.). I've been using a plastic tub but something with handles would be really nice!
cherylo is right, the downtown library game codes can be hard to find. I spent a good 30 minutes walking around the adult section on the first floor before finding the one missing code I needed. The front desk staff told me there were 5 in the adult section & 5 in the youth, but I counted 6 in the youth section, so keep your eyes open!
@carcarcarcarcarcar , in fairness, one of the codes in the youth area is also found elsewhere in the downtown library, so they might not have counted that one.
@megland...I only mentioned the directly asking for codes because I had a library staffer tell me a story about someone who did that when I asked for a hint once, and of course all the hint messages for all the branch codes say to "ask at the desk." I did not meant to imply I thought you might do that, and I'm sorry it came across that way.
@vlong, yes I do. :) In fact I belong to a national organization [called the Train Gamers Association] that puts on train game-themed tournaments at conventions such as the recent GenCon (Indianpolis/last week) and Origins (Columbus/late May or early June) conventions, and also the local event called U Con, which will be this coming October. You might consider joining the Yahoo group called aagg (=ann arbor game group), or the Metro Detroit Gamers list. There are game nights, conventions, and other events at which you might come play EB and many other games that are talked about on those lists. Have you played Lunar Rails? That's my favorite one.

@mengland: For local color badge, try a secondary color for the flower. It is a theatre name - color+flower+Theatre. For the Hospital badge, go to Ann Arbor Founder, search for new medical department. You have to click at full panel at the bottom of the screen to get the code.

@ Morgsush and gxl, where is there a search field on the aadl web site beside the catalog? Look around the web pages, pick any aadl.org page to start and look all around.
@cherylo - I will look those up! I've only played the EB series and not other train games, but I love EB. I've played Lunar Rails, but it's been awhile as that's not one that I own. My best friend owns that one, so sometimes we play when I'm out there. Eurorails and India are probably my two favorites. Eurorails mainly because I know that board so well that half the time, I don't even need to actually count out the build - I know what's 20 already.
Now that I'm done with school, I have more time for gaming, but was a bit hesitant on joining a group just because EB is the only game series I know well and I didn't know if I could find a group that mostly played EB.
I haven't really been to any conventions mostly just because I never have the money to go, but I'd love a chance to even just play more here at home, so I'll look up those groups. Thanks!
@Vlong, you can volunteer for a convention to get discounted or free admission or other perks, or be a game master and host game events. I know U Con is always looking for more volunteers and game masters. Check the schedule on ucon-gaming.org for "puffing billy" (train game tournament) events to see the Empire Builder and related games; there should be one of those starting about every three hours IIRC. Our mutual friends Gabe and Ed (especially Ed) are veterans of U Con.

Sooo, I was working on "Amphiprion Percula" badge, and somehow switched badges. I clicked on the Amphiprion Percula badge to see how much progress I had made, and found that I had only gotten two codes for it, even though I'd entered 6 codes total. I'd come across the first code for the "Strip Search" badge, and had been working on it!
@Zhengyang - The 5th code was tricky. I found that Googling "boy king crocodile" came up with a particular item on a different website and then I was able to look up that item in the catalog and find it.
@ilyjtwya: I did that with a couple of the Olympic ones! It's always kinda disconcerting when that happens.
I had that happen to me too, about switching from one badge track to the other without immediately knowing it. It was disconcerting but kind of funny.
Yay! Three more of the giant robots have appeared, and there must be one more on the way to round out the full promised dozed, if I count correctly. :^)
